Using Technology:

This is the Acer laptop I used to create most of my magazine on while at home, however I did use the college computers and macs when in lesson.

I used this memory stick to transfer all my work around, especially from home to college and vice versa.

I also learnt how to use Adobe Photoshop on this project by using it too edit my pictures and also create my logo.

I used Quark Xpress 8 to create the main part of my music magazine. As I had never used this before I also had to learn as I was creating.

For my college magazine I also used Microsoft Office Publisher which I already knew how to use from previous projects.

In addition to this, I also used Blogger to create my blog to keep my progress throughout the project on.

I also used Power points in my blog to show my progress created on Microsoft Power Point. I uploaded them on SlideShare which let people view them directly from Blogger.

I also looked up videos on Youtube when using Quark and Photoshop to help me create my magazine correctly.

Creating My Double Page Spread- Music Magazine.

Final Logo/Masthead:

I decided to use this as my final masthead and logo for my music magazine 'Intune'.
I made this on Photoshop using a standard windows text called 'Segoe Script' I then made the red music note at the end of the text and combined the two. I then added an Alpha channel to make the background transparent and added it onto the front cover of my magazine. Over all I am very pleased with how my logo/masthead has turned out as I think it's bold and clear, however still classy and musically orientated.

Using Drop Caps

I decided for my double page spread that a drop cap at the start of the first paragraph would look quite effective. As I didn't know how to do this on Quark Xpress I looked it up on Youtube and used this video to help me.
