These are my two final image ideas. I have totally changed my front cover picture from my first draft as, when reading the Project Brief again I noticed you have to use a medium close up image. Due to this I went out and took two medium close up images which I could use for my front cover.
This image was my first attempt. I like this image because I think the students happy face gives out a good impression about the magazine and college. You can see from quite far away that she's smiling and so this grabs your attention. I also like the fact that she's holding a book which makes it look more studious and relates it more to college. However, I don't like the background on this image as I think it's a bit busy. I also don't think it's colourful enough and looks very black which would not stand out in a shop or grab the readers attention. I also think there is too much of Zofia's body in this picture and would be better if I cut it a bit.
This is my second attempt at a final image. I really like this image because again, the girl is happy and smiling, looking straight into the camera which I think again grabs your attention. I also like it because the person is a lot closer to the camera. I think the angle Zofia's face is at is also really interesting as it's not just facing straight forward. I also like the background to this image as I think it's more colourful and again interesting.
Overall I like the second image more than the first and this will be my final cover image.
